PANEL 1

The city gates slam shut, trapping the Goths inside.

NARRATION: "Only then did the citys gates slam shut."

PANEL 2

The Gryphon lands dramatically inside the city walls, wings spread wide, standing over a fallen Goth warrior. The Gothic soldiers look on in horror.

GRYPHON: "What a feast this town prepared for me!"

PANEL 3

The Gothic soldiers realize theyre trapped. One looks worried while the Gryphon looms.

GRYPHON: "Pity, the soup and roast have been gobbled up..."

GRYPHON: "But at least the main course has arrived!"

I guess now is a good time to bring up the materials I used to make this baby. I drew it on Deleter brand doujinshi size paper in “heavy” weight from Anime Gamers. I inked it with a brush-tipped Tombo marker I bought at a local art store. That’s why the lines seem so thick and expressive. The small paper size and versatile inking method helped speed up the process. One problem: The marker wouldn’t cover the blue guidelines on the Deleter paper. You can see a faded white line at the bottom of this page where the marker refused to cover it (right through the lead-Goth’s shirt).
