A Brief History of Grifonton, Page 3

PANEL 1

A young person with light hair raises their hand excitedly.

YOUTH: "Wait! There may be a way!"

YOUTH: "The Gryphon! We could ask for its help!"

PANEL 2

An older figure with long light hair responds, while a smaller figure (younger sibling) looks up.

OLDER SIBLING: "No, my little brother is right. Better to seek our deaths in hope of bringing a chance victory than to die in vain on a Gothic sword."

YOUNGER FIGURE: "Its too dangerous, William!"

PANEL 3

A council elder, shown partially, gives approval.

ELDER: "With the council elders blessing, we shall take offerings to the Gryphon and beg it for assistance."

PANEL 4

The elder speaks to the two youths (William and Thomas).

ELDER: "You have my blessing."

WILLIAM: "We have no choice. The Goths are far too powerful to defeat alone."

PANEL 5

The woman with the feathered hat writes in her minutes.

WOMAN: ""Two brave youths to seek deaths in hopeless quest to save us all.""

WOMAN: "Did I get everything?"

PANEL 6

A scenic illustration of a dark, foreboding forest with mountains in the background.

NARRATION: "So the brothers William and Thomas traveled to the Foreboding Dark Forest in search of the great Gryphons abode..."

Everything that follows is original 2005 commentary except where noted “–RN 2012″:

Check out the hairstyles on the brothers. I admit that Thomas’s hair was inspired by Chobits. For shame. I imagine William with white or pale blonde hair with a blue tunic. William is based on my pet budgie (that’s a parakeet). My parakeet, Tenno, died in 2010. –RN 2012 I didn’t draw that forest either. I butchered a tone from PsychoBob’s screen tone archive Once again, minutes saved.
