Caption: "After school..."

Olivia stands in a store aisle looking at hair dye boxes. She wears a black hat with skull and crossbones. She picks up a box labeled "PANIC MANIC - Ruby Red Slippers" with "Clear-o" branding. The box shows a woman with flowing red hair.

OLIVIA: "Natural, huh?"

OLIVIA: "Red's natural!"

Caption: "The next day..."

Classroom scene. The teacher with glasses looks at Olivia expectantly. Other students are visible as silhouettes in the background. Olivia still wears her hat.

TEACHER: "Well Olivia, are you going to wear your hat all day again?"

OLIVIA: "Actually..."

Olivia removes her hat to reveal bright crimson red hair styled in dramatic pigtails with small horns/bows. The teacher recoils in horror.

OLIVIA: "I think you'll be quite pleased to find that I'm a redhead now!"

TEACHER: "Agh! That's TOO red!"

TEACHER: "That abominable hat stays on until you find a more suitable hair color!"

The heart and crossbones was later turned into the trademarked symbol for Tokidoki. I wish I had used it in branding more so I could keep using it!

    I loved Olivia’s hat so much that I ended up making my own version out of black felt. Perhaps I should knit one now that my knitting skills are better.
