QUEEN OREB: You're much too heavy to fly! Why would you attempt such a thing?

QUEEN OREB: With wings that don't belong to you, no less!

Cora looks down sadly.

CORA: I... I don't know.

CORA: I guess I was hoping that I'd turn into a crow and fly away...

CORA: ...Or that I'd...

Queen Oreb asks a surprising question.

QUEEN OREB: Have you ever thought you might be one of us?

CORA: I've always felt like I didn't belong. My mother doesn't even believe I'm her real daughter.

CORA: Even when I was a child I wanted to be a crow and fly away with my crow friends.

QUEEN OREB: When were you born?

Oh Cora, you look so sad.

I did not like how this page and the one before have such similar first panels. It was ok in print because they were on opposite sides of the same page, but it’s more noticeable online. I tried so hard to get it laid out in any other way. I must have been running on fumes. I am certain I could have managed it otherwise.
