Cora watches as a crow announces someone's arrival. Feathers drift in the air.

The figure is revealed—another young woman with short dark hair, wearing a flowing dark gown or cloak, with dark wings. She and Cora face each other.

Both girls have dark hair, wings, and an uncanny resemblance to one another.

Ah, the mysterious person has appeared! I loved creating the gowns for these two. I had many designs for different members of the crow flock, but I decided against having more than two “crows” appear as humans in the end. I made the decision right at the very end, scrapping some boards I’d been working on that didn’t feel right.
