Decorative gothic frame shows Olivia smiling mischievously.

PAGE 1, PANEL 1

Olivia sits at a computer wearing a striped shirt. She looks excited at the monitor which shows a black coat for sale.

OLIVIA: "Army surplus black wool overcoat on clearance!"

PAGE 1, PANEL 2

At a bus stop. Olivia stands proudly wearing a long black wool overcoat, while other students in casual clothes look at her. A "BUS" sign is visible.

OLIVIA: "And no one else will have one!"

PAGE 1, PANEL 3

Olivia admires herself in the coat, still in striped shirt beneath.

OLIVIA: "That'd be even better than my old trench coat in cold weather!"

PAGE 1, PANEL 4

Olivia strikes a dramatic pose, looking intensely determined, with the coat dramatically flowing.

OLIVIA: "It MUST be MINE!"

Voice off-panel (mother): "Olivia, is that my credit card?"

This story happened to me. I still have the coat. When I was living on my own, my apartment came with free heat, but the landlords left it at around 60 degrees in the winter. I would get very cold in the night, so I would pull my big overcoat over me to sleep. It warmed the whole bed up very fast! Talk about a versatile wardrobe piece!

This was more of a short story . Therefore, it wasn’t something that I enjoyed.
