PANEL 1

Rachel and Brenda continue their debate outdoors. Brenda appears dismissive while Rachel looks exasperated.

BRENDA: "Believe whatever you want."

BRENDA: "I wouldn't mind summer all year round, anyway."

RACHEL: "Oh, it's not a matter of belief."

PANEL 2

Rachel gestures emphatically while making her argument. A butterfly flutters nearby.

RACHEL: "Whether or not the rise in temperatures is caused by the rising carbon dioxide levels, it doesn't change that we now have more carbon kicking around in the atmosphere than we did before the Industrial Revolution."

RACHEL: "And believe you me, carbon dioxide can do a lot more than just heat up the planet."

PANEL 3

Rachel stands with hands on hips, speaking passionately. Tuna the orange cat sits nearby watching.

RACHEL: "If you ask me, that movie was too optimistic!"

TUNA: "Where did all these flower petals and shit come from?"

And here she is: Brenda Grimm, lone lesbian of the wilderness, resurrected in full glory and with pink streaks in her hair so she doesn’t look like Sparrow anymore! I gave her a pear shaped body. I had a diagram somewhere showing how Sparrow was all boobs, Rachel was an hourglass, and Brenda was a pear. I wanted to keep body shapes interesting and not draw the same girls with different hair and chest sizes all the time.

Notice that Rachel’s trademark “sexy kitteh ears” have popped up, indicating she is attracted. Sparrow’s “bitchy doggeh ears” have popped up because she is being, well, a bitch. As always. I should have just left those ears on her for the whole series, ha!
