PANEL 1

Rachel looks skeptical in her "FEAR CHANGE" shirt.

RACHEL: "Why does it cost an arm and a leg anyway?"

PANEL 2

Sparrow holds the pendant to her chest proudly.

SPARROW: "It's real gunmetal!"

PANEL 3

Rachel explains.

RACHEL: "Moron. Gunmetal is a copper-tin alloy. Why does it really cost so goddamned much?"

PANEL 4

Sparrow looks down at the pendant.

SPARROW: "Licensing."

PANEL 5

Rachel's hair blows dramatically with shock.

SFX: WHAT?!

PANEL 6

Rachel is furious while Sparrow defends the pendant.

RACHEL: "You mean I have to pay $40 just so some band can use my chest as advertising space?!"

SPARROW: "But, it's real gunmetal..."

This was back when I still used india ink to tone everything (that is, to make the grey tones you see). Later I switched to Photoshop, and for awhile there I think my comics looked much worse for it. But eventually I hit my stride.

I love that fourth panel. You can just tell I have no idea how to draw an elbow. “Nuuuuu! Must not draw elbow at any cost!”
