Love Can Wait, Page 2

PAGE 2, PANEL 1

The Anti-Cupid appears dramatically—a woman with wild light-colored hair, large black wings, and a dark corset. She poses powerfully against a radiating background.

ANTI-CUPID: "I'm the great and powerful Anti-Cupid, Destroyer of Infatuations and Smiter of Insignificant Others!"

WOMAN: "Ack!"

ANTI-CUPID: "Why have you called me?"

PAGE 2, PANEL 2

The dark-haired woman looks confused and upset while talking to the Anti-Cupid.

WOMAN: "What the—? I asked for Cupid!"

ANTI-CUPID: "Yeah, well, I sort of killed cupid and had to take over the business a few years ago."

WOMAN: "You killed Cupid?"

ANTI-CUPID: "I, um, ran over him..."

PAGE 2, PANEL 3

Continued conversation between the woman and the Anti-Cupid.

WOMAN: "Well can you help me find my soul mate?"

ANTI-CUPID: "No can do."

ANTI-CUPID: "I just break people up."

ANTI-CUPID: "I can't put them together."

PAGE 2, PANEL 4

The woman looks distraught while the Anti-Cupid spreads her wings.

WOMAN: "This is so unfair! Everyone else gets hooked up, and even Cupid can't help me out."

ANTI-CUPID: "Anti-Cupid!"

ANTI-CUPID: "Why do you want to meet your true love anyway?"

And KER-POW! The Anti-Cupid is on the scene! I love that first panel! So wicked! Anti-Cupid’s grand entrances are the best.

Also, her explanation of what happened to Cupid? Priceless.
