The curly-haired woman responds reassuringly.

CURLY-HAIRED WOMAN: "That's normal! Some girls are like that. Sometimes it's hormonal; sometimes it's stress. It's just a natural phase!"

PANEL 3

Rachel looks surprised while the woman continues speaking.

CURLY-HAIRED WOMAN: "But there's nothing to be ashamed of. You don't have a problem. Everybody masturbates!"

RACHEL: "Really?"

MAN: "I masturbate."

We go through life thinking other people are different or more perfect than we are. But they go home and jerk off and fart and poop, just like you and me. And sometimes they do drugs or get addicted to alcohol. No matter how perfect someone appears to be on the outside, remember that we are all human inside. I tried to show that here. We are all weird. Sometimes that weirdness can hurt yourself or others, like when you get addicted to drugs or booze or investing other people’s money in risky mortgages. That’s when this behavior needs correcting. But if it doesn’t hurt anyone and doesn’t make you late for work, I say carry on. Masturbation is a healthy, harmless, useful way to release.
