PANEL 2

Rachel stands proudly, wearing a black shirt that reads "ALONE ...to be".

RACHEL: "I don't have time for boys."

PANEL 3

Rachel continues explaining while the other women look on. Her shirt now fully visible reads "ALONE the only way to be."

RACHEL: "That's right! I'm so busy with school and art and the farm, I don't have time for a relationship. I choose to be alone."

WOMAN (whispering): "Keep telling yourself that."

RACHEL: "What?"

WOMAN: "WHAT?!"

RACHEL: "Nothing!"

PANEL 4

A car horn sounds outside. A woman in a bikini top jumps up excitedly while the others react.

SFX: HONK HONK

WOMAN IN BIKINI: "That's him! I gotta go!"

OTHER WOMAN: "Ooh, bring him inside so we can meet him!"

WOMAN IN BIKINI: "I would, but he'll be in a hurry, sorry!"

Something very important happens in the lower half of this page. Sparrow’s friends want to meet her boyfriend, but she covers for him instead of bringing him in to show him off. Rachel notices this but says nothing. It doesn’t seem like Sparrow not to show off her shiny new boyfriend, does it?
