PANEL 1

Rachel stands in shadow, doubting herself.

RACHEL: "Do people really think I am just a superficial hack?"

RACHEL: "That I'm a trend whore?"

RACHEL: "What can I do?"

PANEL 2

Tuna sarcastically suggests changing everything.

TUNA: "Well, you could change your style, your plots, your characters and in general everything about your comics."

PANEL 3

Rachel considers it while Tuna panics.

RACHEL: "Hmm... Maybe I should."

TUNA: "What? No! I was joking!"

PANEL 4

Rachel dramatically declares she'll change everything while Tuna is horrified. Rachel wears a "Nothing Sacred Nothing Burned" shirt.

RACHEL: "That's it! I'll change my comics!"

RACHEL: "No more gothic undertones!"

RACHEL: "No more big eyes!"

RACHEL: "No more talking feline sidekick!"

TUNA: "WHAT?! I thought I was your costar!"

RACHEL: "Things are going to be different from now on!"

I should also mention that the response to this comic at gURL.com was truly heartwarming. I wasn’t seriously angry when I wrote this, but when these replies came in, they only made me feel even more conviction that comics are my calling.
