PANEL 1

Rachel sips from a cup while delivering her verdict.

RACHEL: "You're an all over boring, selfish, stoopid little man."

PANEL 2

Bob thinks to himself.

BOB (thinking): "She must be a lesbian."

PANEL 3

Bob turns to Brenda (with her distinctive short spiky hair).

BOB: "What about you, Brenda?"

BRENDA: "Oh me?"

PANEL 4

Brenda puts her arm around Rachel, who looks shocked. Sparrow watches with interest.

BRENDA: "I'm attracted to Rachel!"

SPARROW: "Really??"

PANEL 5

Rachel looks touched but conflicted.

RACHEL: "Wow... I feel so loved... If only I were a lesbian!"

Brenda is actually a character from a series pitch I sent to Slave Labor Graphics in ye olden days. She was Brenda Grimm, the last in a long line of folklore collectors who regaled readers with manga-esque retellings of obscure fairytales. My art was really bad, but they were kind enough to send me a nice rejection note

Brenda is also the token lesbian of the series, which was something I wanted to work with more in later comics but never got the chance to expand upon.
