This is a very interesting comic. It was one of my few “atmospheric” pieces. They never got many comments on gURL.com, and some people whined that they weren’t interesting enough. But others seemed to really enjoy them. Still, in the long run, gURL encouraged me to work on more active, funny and controversial pieces. These atmospherics became rarer and my art more rigid as time passed. I felt I was losing the beauty of my craft, and this was one of the reasons I turned away from comicking for profit. I didn’t like reducing an art form to a gag strip or water cooler fodder.

It’s sad that other gURL readers didn’t appreciate it–I remember this being one of my favorites of yours back when I frequented the sight. Still is. I’m a huge winter fan.
