I finished this around November 24th, 2007. Freddie Mercury of Queen died on November 24th, 1991. I was surprised at how many readers at gURL.com (where this comic was first published) picked up that Rachel’s shirt was a tribute to him. “Jaw’s was never my scene and I don’t like Star Wars,” being a line from Queen’s song Bicycle:

I totally agree with Freddie’s statement about Jaws and Star Wars.

Also, note that Rachel is carrying the romance novel in a brown paper bag.
