Sparrow Speaks: the Cost of Sex

PANEL 1

A guy named Bob shows a printout to Rachel and Sparrow.

BOB: "Check out this diagram I found online that proves girls are evil!"

The paper reads: "Proof That Girls Are Evil girls = time×money and time = money therefore girls = money×money and money is the root of all evil Money = √evil so... girls = (√evil)² conclusion: girls = evil"

PANEL 2

Sparrow responds sarcastically while Rachel looks annoyed.

SPARROW: "Wow, Bob. And I thought your sense of humor was limited to dick and fart jokes."

SPARROW: "I'm almost impressed."

PANEL 3

Sparrow crosses her arms and makes her point.

SPARROW: "Hmph."

SPARROW: "Guys always bitch about how much money they have to spend on their girlfriends."

SPARROW: "But what about our expenses?"

I had started having sex by this point. I hadn’t gotten around to writing about my alter ego’s first sexual encounter yet, so I used Sparrow to vent my own frustrations. (You know that saying about how we hate most in others what we loathe about ourselves? I am every character in this story, even pathetic Bob.)
