Tuna lounges on a shelf near a radio.

PANEL 1

Rachel excitedly hears her favorite song starting on the radio.

RADIO: "Now for a little kickback to the 90's: Gonna Make You Sweat!"

SFX: EVERYBODY DANCE NOW!

RACHEL: "All right! My favorite dance song!"

Rachel wears a "BORN TO DISCO!" shirt.

PANEL 2

The DJ starts talking over the music.

RADIO: "Don't forget about our summer concert series coming up! Get your tickets!"

PANEL 3

The DJ continues advertising.

RADIO: "Brought to you by your favorite radio station!"

Rachel looks increasingly annoyed.

PANEL 4

The DJ keeps promoting the station.

RADIO: "Keep it tuned right here, all the time!"

RACHEL: "He's talking over the good parts!"

RACHEL: "Will he ever shut up?"

PANEL 5

The song finally plays properly.

RADIO: "JUMP TO THE RHYTHM, JUMP, JUMP TO THE RHYTHM!"

RADIO: "the octopuss!"

RACHEL: "Finally!"

You can see me moving to a “bare minimum comic so I can knock a few out before I hit the convention circuit” form here. gURL.com needed me to supply a minimum number of panels each week to keep their pageviews high and bring in advertising revenues. The “Things That Rub Me the Wrong Way” comics I made were two pages that provided six panels/pageviews (as opposed to my usual format which only pumped out 3 pageviews per print-able page). The stories were lighter, though.
