To Call or Not to Call, Page 4

PANEL 1

Rachel looks thoughtful while Tuna sits in silhouette beside her.

RACHEL: "You make a good point, Tuna."

RACHEL: "However, just like everyone else, I too hope to one day love and be loved."

PANEL 2

Close-up of Rachel's face in profile, looking contemplative. The phone number note floats in the soft, dreamy background.

RACHEL: "If I ever hope to find that, I have to take chances, to at least make the effort."

The note reads: "555-6916 Call me!"

PANEL 3

Rachel continues her reflection in another close-up shot.

RACHEL: "Otherwise, what if I let the love of my life slip by without even giving it a fair shot?"

PANEL 4

Rachel sits smiling on her bed next to the phone, with Tuna looking up at her.

RACHEL: "Plus sometimes I worry that if I stay a hermit too long, I'll turn into one of those crazy old women who talks to her cat!"

TUNA: "Hey, what's wrong with that?"

THE END

This is the point in the series where Rachel stops being so passive aggressive about everything and starts to make life happen. Tuna is voicing some of her deepest fears. Some gURL.com readers commented that Tuna sounded like the voice in the back of their head. Yep, he is that!

My voice in the back of my head comes through my vocal chords…

Maybe that’s why people call me crazy.

    I like being crazy.
